Ingredients

  • Active dry yeast - 5 grams
  • Warm water - 120 ml
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Tomato sauce - 100 grams
  • Preserved lemon - 1, finely chopped
  • Canned artichoke hearts - 200 grams, drained and quartered
  • Red onion - 1 small, thinly sliced
  • Kalamata olives - 50 grams, pitted and sliced
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Vegan cheese (optional) - 50 grams

Steps

  1. In a small bowl, mix warm water and active dry yeast, letting it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt, then add the yeast mixture and olive oil, mixing until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth, then cover it with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 20 minutes.
  4. Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F).
  5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness and transfer it to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the pizza base, leaving a small border around the edges.
  7. Top the sauce with chopped preserved lemons, quartered artichoke hearts, red onion slices, and Kalamata olives.
  8. Sprinkle smoked paprika and black pepper over the toppings, then add vegan cheese if using.
