Ingredients

  • Chicken thighs - 400 grams
  • Pomegranate juice - 120 ml
  • Honey - 2 tablespoons
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh pomegranate seeds - 50 grams (for garnish)
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped (for garnish)

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine pomegranate juice, honey, olive oil, minced garlic, cumin, cinnamon, paprika, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade and reserve the marinade for basting.
  5. Grill the chicken thighs for about 6-8 minutes on each side, basting with the reserved marinade, until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
  6. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes.
  7. Slice the chicken and serve it on a plate, garnished with fresh pomegranate seeds and chopped cilantro.
