- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Vegetable broth - 250 milliliters
- Chickpeas - 100 grams, canned and rinsed
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped

- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Cook the whole wheat pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the cumin, cinnamon, and paprika, cooking for another minute to toast the spices.
- Pour in the vegetable broth and bring to a simmer. Add the chopped dates and chickpeas, cooking for about 5 minutes until heated through.
- Combine the cooked pasta with the date mixture in the skillet, tossing to coat evenly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley and lemon juice before serving.
