Ingredients

  • Spaghetti - 200 grams
  • Mixed seafood (shrimp, mussels, calamari) - 300 grams
  • Olive oil - 3 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Red bell pepper - 1, diced
  • Cherry tomatoes - 150 grams, halved
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Water - 2 liters

Steps

  1. Bring 2 liters of water to a boil in a large pot. Add a pinch of salt.
  2. Add the spaghetti to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the diced red bell pepper and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  5. Stir in the mixed seafood and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes until the seafood is cooked through and opaque.
  6. Add the halved cherry tomatoes, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir well and cook for 2-3 minutes until the tomatoes start to soften.
  7. Mix in the cooked spaghetti and toss everything together for 2 minutes, ensuring the pasta is well coated with the sauce.
  8. Remove from heat, stir in the lemon juice and chopped cilantro, and serve immediately.
