Ingredients
- Puff pastry - 200 grams
- Mixed nuts (almonds, walnuts, pistachios) - 100 grams, chopped
- Honey - 60 grams
- Cinnamon powder - 1 teaspoon
- Sugar - 30 grams
- Butter - 30 grams, melted
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Orange blossom water - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped mixed nuts, honey, cinnamon powder, sugar, orange blossom water, and half of the melted butter. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface until it is about 3 mm thick.
- Cut the pastry into rectangles (about 10x15 cm).
- Place a spoonful of the nut mixture in the center of each rectangle.
- Fold over the pastry to encase the filling, pressing the edges to seal. You can crimp the edges with a fork for a decorative touch.
- Brush the tops of the pastries with the remaining melted butter and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
- Place the pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastries are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving. Drizzle with additional honey if desired.
