- All-purpose flour - 150 grams
- Butter, melted - 50 grams
- Honey - 100 grams
- Water - 100 ml
- Yeast - 5 grams
- Sugar - 30 grams
- Salt - 1 gram
- Cinnamon powder - 1 teaspoon
- Sesame seeds - 20 grams
- Almonds, crushed - 30 grams
Steps
- In a bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, melted butter, yeast, sugar, salt, and cinnamon. Mix well.
- Gradually add the water and knead the dough until it is smooth and elastic. Let it rest for 15 minutes covered with a damp cloth.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about 5 mm thickness. Cut into small circles using a cookie cutter.
- Place a small amount of crushed almonds in the center of each dough circle, fold over and seal the edges to form a half-moon shape.
- Place the pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- While the pastries are baking, heat the honey in a small saucepan until it becomes liquid.
- Once the pastries are done, remove them from the oven and immediately brush them with warm honey.
- Let the pastries cool slightly before serving warm, drizzled with extra honey if desired.
