- Moroccan spice blend - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Fresh basil - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Ground turkey or chicken - 200 grams
Steps
- Using a spiralizer, create zucchini noodles from the two medium zucchinis and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat and sauté the diced onion until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the ground turkey or chicken, cooking until browned and fully cooked, approximately 5-7 minutes.
- Add the canned diced tomatoes, tomato paste, Moroccan spice blend, salt, and black pepper to the skillet, stirring to combine.
- Simmer the sauce for 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the sauce to thicken.
- In the last few minutes of cooking, add the zucchini noodles to the skillet, tossing to coat them with the sauce and heat through, about 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from heat, stir in the fresh basil, and serve warm.
