Ingredients

  • Fresh figs - 200 grams
  • Almonds (blanched) - 50 grams
  • Honey - 2 tablespoons
  • Ground cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground nutmeg - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Orange zest - 1 teaspoon
  • Walnuts - 30 grams
  • Salt - a pinch

Steps

  1. Wash the fresh figs and remove the stems, then chop them into small pieces.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped figs, honey, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and orange zest. Mix well until the figs are coated in the honey and spices.
  3. In a food processor, add the blanched almonds and walnuts. Pulse until they are finely chopped but not ground into a paste.
  4. Add the nut mixture to the fig mixture and sprinkle a pinch of salt. Stir until all ingredients are well combined.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a small dish lined with parchment paper, pressing it down firmly to create an even layer.
