- Ground beef - 250 grams
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Whole wheat burger buns - 2
- Mixed olives (green and black) - 100 grams, pitted
- Capers - 1 tablespoon
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Arugula - 30 grams
Steps
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, sautéed garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into 2 equal patties.
- Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your desired doneness.
- While the burgers are cooking, prepare the olive tapenade by blending the mixed olives, capers, lemon juice, and chopped parsley in a food processor until coarsely chopped.
- Once the burgers are cooked, assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a whole wheat bun, topping them generously with olive tapenade and a handful of arugula.
