Ingredients

  • Pizza dough - 200 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Mushrooms (button or cremini) - 200 grams, sliced
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Fresh mint leaves - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Tomato sauce - 100 grams
  • Vegan cheese (optional) - 50 grams

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F).
  2. In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes until they are tender and any liquid has evaporated.
  4. Stir in the cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper, and cook for another minute. Remove from heat and mix in the chopped mint leaves.
  5. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness and shape.
  6. Transfer the rolled dough to a baking sheet or pizza stone lined with parchment paper.
  7. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  8. Top the sauce with the sautéed mushroom and mint mixture, and sprinkle with vegan cheese if using.
  9. Drizzle the remaining tablespoon of olive oil over the top.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
  11. Remove from the oven, let cool for a couple of minutes, slice, and serve warm.
