- All-purpose flour - 200 grams
- Semolina - 50 grams
- Warm water - 150 milliliters
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Sugar - 2 tablespoons
- Butter - 50 grams, melted
- Cooking oil - 2 tablespoons (for frying)
- Powdered sugar - for dusting
Steps
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, semolina, salt, and sugar.
- Gradually add the warm water while mixing to form a soft dough. Knead for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces and shape each piece into a ball.
- On a lightly greased surface, flatten a dough ball with your hands into a thin round shape, about 20 cm in diameter.
- Brush the surface with melted butter and fold the dough into quarters to create a square shape. Repeat with the other balls.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a tablespoon of oil.
- Fry each folded dough square for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Once cooked, remove from the skillet and keep warm.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving and enjoy warm.
