  • Semolina - 50 grams
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Water - 150 ml (warm)
  • Vegetable oil - 50 ml (for dough)
  • Butter - 25 grams (melted, for layering)
  • Honey - 50 grams (for drizzling)

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, semolina, and salt.
  2. Gradually add warm water while mixing, until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Divide the dough into 4 equal balls and cover with a damp cloth. Let it rest for 15 minutes.
  5. On a floured surface, take one dough ball and flatten it into a thin rectangle, using your fingers or a rolling pin.
  6. Brush the surface with melted butter and fold the dough into thirds, then fold it again to form a square. Repeat with the remaining dough balls.
  7. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a little oil.
  8. Cook each folded dough square for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy.
  9. Once cooked, remove from the skillet and drizzle with honey before serving.
