- Semolina - 50 grams
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Water - 150 ml (warm)
- Vegetable oil - 50 ml (for dough)
- Butter - 25 grams (melted, for layering)
- Honey - 50 grams (for drizzling)
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, semolina, and salt.
- Gradually add warm water while mixing, until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal balls and cover with a damp cloth. Let it rest for 15 minutes.
- On a floured surface, take one dough ball and flatten it into a thin rectangle, using your fingers or a rolling pin.
- Brush the surface with melted butter and fold the dough into thirds, then fold it again to form a square. Repeat with the remaining dough balls.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a little oil.
- Cook each folded dough square for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy.
- Once cooked, remove from the skillet and drizzle with honey before serving.
