Ingredients

  • Pizza dough - 200 grams
  • Ground beef or lamb - 150 grams
  • Red bell pepper - 1, diced
  • Zucchini - 1, diced
  • Red onion - 1, thinly sliced
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Harissa paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - to taste
  • Pepper - to taste
  • Tomato sauce - 100 grams
  • Mozzarella cheese - 150 grams, shredded
  • Fresh cilantro - for garnish

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
  2. In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat and sauté the garlic and red onion until translucent.
  3. Add the ground beef or lamb to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  4. Stir in the cumin, cinnamon, paprika, salt, and pepper, cooking for an additional 2 minutes.
  5. Add the diced red bell pepper and zucchini to the skillet, cooking until just tender, then mix in the harissa paste. Set the mixture aside.
  6. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness and shape.
  7. Transfer the rolled dough to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the pizza base.
  9. Top with the cooked meat and vegetable mixture, followed by the shredded mozzarella cheese.
  10. Drizzle the remaining tablespoon of olive oil over the top.
  11. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is golden.
  12. Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh cilantro, slice, and serve.
