- Ground lamb - 400 grams
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Fresh mint - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Egg - 1, beaten
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon (for cooking)
- Yogurt - 100 grams (for sauce)
- Cucumber - 1/2, finely diced
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste (for sauce)
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb, minced garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, cinnamon, salt, black pepper, chopped parsley, chopped mint, and beaten egg. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
- Divide the lamb mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a burger patty.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are browned and cooked through.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the yogurt sauce by mixing yogurt, diced cucumber, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt in a small bowl.
- Once the patties are cooked, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
- Serve the lamb burgers with the cucumber yogurt sauce on the side.
