Ingredients

  • Ground lamb - 400 grams
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Fresh mint - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Egg - 1, beaten
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon (for cooking)
  • Yogurt - 100 grams (for sauce)
  • Cucumber - 1/2, finely diced
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste (for sauce)

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb, minced garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, cinnamon, salt, black pepper, chopped parsley, chopped mint, and beaten egg. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
  2. Divide the lamb mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a burger patty.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are browned and cooked through.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the yogurt sauce by mixing yogurt, diced cucumber, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt in a small bowl.
  5. Once the patties are cooked, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
  6. Serve the lamb burgers with the cucumber yogurt sauce on the side.
