Ingredients

  • Octopus - 500 grams, cleaned
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - ½ teaspoon
  • Lemon - 1, juiced
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Lemon wedges - for serving

Steps

  1. In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add the cleaned octopus. Boil for about 30 minutes until tender, then remove and let cool.
  2. In a bowl, mix together olive oil, minced garlic, smoked paprika, cumin, coriander, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice to create a marinade.
  3. Once the octopus has cooled, cut it into tentacles and place them in the marinade. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Thread the marinated octopus onto skewers.
  5. Grill the octopus skewers for about 5-7 minutes on each side, until nicely charred.
  6. Remove from the grill, sprinkle with chopped parsley, and serve with lemon wedges.
