Ingredients

  • Almond milk - 400 ml
  • Cornstarch - 2 tablespoons
  • Sugar - 2 tablespoons
  • Orange blossom water - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground cinnamon - for garnish
  • Chopped pistachios - 2 tablespoons (for garnish)
  • Vanilla extract - 1/2 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the almond milk, sugar, and vanilla extract. Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the cornstarch with a few tablespoons of cold water until smooth.
  3. Once the almond milk mixture is warm, gradually whisk in the cornstarch mixture, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
  4. Continue to cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens (about 5-7 minutes).
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the orange blossom water.
  6. Pour the mixture into serving dishes and let it cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.
  7. Before serving, sprinkle with ground cinnamon and chopped pistachios.
