- Pasta (fusilli or penne) - 200 grams
- Ground lamb - 200 grams
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Cinnamon - 1/4 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Fresh mint - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Lemon - 1, juiced
- Crumbled feta cheese - 50 grams
Steps
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onion becomes translucent.
- Add the ground lamb to the skillet, breaking it up with a spoon. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the cumin, coriander, paprika, cinnamon, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes to allow the spices to infuse.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the lamb mixture. Toss to combine thoroughly.
- Remove from heat and stir in the fresh parsley, mint, and lemon juice.
- Serve the pasta warm, topped with crumbled feta cheese.
