Ingredients

  • Pasta (fusilli or penne) - 200 grams
  • Ground lamb - 200 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Cinnamon - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Fresh mint - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Lemon - 1, juiced
  • Crumbled feta cheese - 50 grams

Steps

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onion becomes translucent.
  3. Add the ground lamb to the skillet, breaking it up with a spoon. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in the cumin, coriander, paprika, cinnamon, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes to allow the spices to infuse.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the lamb mixture. Toss to combine thoroughly.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in the fresh parsley, mint, and lemon juice.
  7. Serve the pasta warm, topped with crumbled feta cheese.
