- Almond flour - 150 grams
- Ground cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
- Stevia or erythritol - 2 tablespoons
- Butter - 40 grams, melted
- Egg - 1 large
- Almonds - 30 grams, finely chopped
- Orange blossom water - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - a pinch
- Water - as needed for dough consistency
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, ground cinnamon, stevia, and a pinch of salt.
- Add melted butter and the egg to the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms. If the dough is too dry, add water a little at a time until it reaches a workable consistency.
- Divide the dough into two equal parts and flatten each piece into a rectangle on a parchment-lined surface.
- In a separate bowl, mix finely chopped almonds with orange blossom water and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
- Spread the almond mixture evenly onto one of the dough rectangles, then carefully place the other rectangle on top.
- Seal the edges by pressing them together, then cut the layered dough into diamond shapes or squares.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and place the pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
