Ingredients
- Whole milk - 500 ml
- Plain yogurt - 100 g
- Salt - 1/2 tsp
- Honey - 2 tbsp (optional)
- Fresh mint leaves - for garnish (optional)
Steps
- In a saucepan, heat the whole milk over medium heat until it reaches a temperature of about 40°C (104°F). Do not boil.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the plain yogurt until well combined.
- Cover the saucepan with a clean kitchen towel and let it sit at room temperature for 6-12 hours, or until it thickens and develops a tangy flavor.
- After the resting period, stir in the salt to taste and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to chill.
- Serve the Lben in bowls, drizzled with honey if desired, and garnish with fresh mint leaves.
