Ingredients

  • Ground lamb - 400 grams
  • Red onion - 1 small, finely chopped

  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Fresh mint - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon (for brushing)
  • Skewers - 4 (soaked in water if wooden)

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb, chopped red onion, minced garlic, parsley, mint, cumin, coriander, paprika, cinnamon, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Mix the ingredients thoroughly with your hands until well combined.
  3. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion around a skewer, forming long oval shapes.
  4. Preheat your grill or BBQ to medium-high heat.
  5. Brush the skewers lightly with olive oil to prevent sticking.
  6. Grill the kefta skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are cooked through and have nice grill marks.
  7. Remove from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
