- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Water - 100 ml
- Pita bread - 2 pieces
- Lemon - 1, cut into wedges
Steps
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in the ground beef, breaking it up with a spatula, and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add cilantro, cumin, paprika, cinnamon, salt, and black pepper; mix well.
- Pour in the water and reduce the heat to low, allowing the mixture to simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally until the liquid is mostly absorbed.
- While the meat is cooking, warm the pita bread in a separate pan or in the oven.
- Serve the Lahm Mhamar hot with warm pita bread and lemon wedges on the side.
