Ingredients

  • Fine semolina couscous - 100 grams
  • Water - 200 ml
  • Milk - 200 ml
  • Honey - 2 tablespoons
  • Ground cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Almonds, chopped - 30 grams
  • Raisins - 30 grams
  • Vanilla extract - 1/2 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a small saucepan, bring 200 ml of water to a boil with a pinch of salt.
  2. Once boiling, remove from heat, add the fine semolina couscous, stir, cover, and let it sit for 5 minutes to absorb the water.
  3. In another saucepan, combine 200 ml of milk, honey, ground cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Heat over low-medium heat until warm but not boiling.
  4. Fluff the couscous with a fork and then gradually add the warm milk mixture, stirring gently to combine.
  5. Serve the kouskous au lait in bowls, topped with chopped almonds and raisins.
