- Fine semolina couscous - 100 grams
- Water - 200 ml
- Milk - 200 ml
- Honey - 2 tablespoons
- Ground cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - a pinch
- Almonds, chopped - 30 grams
- Raisins - 30 grams
- Vanilla extract - 1/2 teaspoon
Steps
- In a small saucepan, bring 200 ml of water to a boil with a pinch of salt.
- Once boiling, remove from heat, add the fine semolina couscous, stir, cover, and let it sit for 5 minutes to absorb the water.
- In another saucepan, combine 200 ml of milk, honey, ground cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Heat over low-medium heat until warm but not boiling.
- Fluff the couscous with a fork and then gradually add the warm milk mixture, stirring gently to combine.
- Serve the kouskous au lait in bowls, topped with chopped almonds and raisins.
