- Dried khlii beef - 150 grams
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons

- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Bell pepper - 1 medium, diced
- Tomato - 1 medium, diced
- Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Eggs - 4 large
Steps
- Soak the dried khlii beef in warm water for 30 minutes to rehydrate, then drain and chop into small pieces.
- In a tagine or skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat and add the chopped onion. Sauté until the onion is translucent.
- Add the minced garlic and diced bell pepper to the skillet, cooking for an additional 3-4 minutes until softened.
- Stir in the diced tomato, ground cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 5 minutes until the tomato has softened.
- Add the rehydrated khlii beef to the skillet, mixing well with the vegetable mixture. Cook for another 5-7 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Create small wells in the mixture and crack an egg into each well. Cover the tagine or skillet and cook for 5-8 minutes, or until the eggs are set to your preferred doneness.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
