Ingredients

  • Khlii (preserved beef) - 100g
  • Eggs - 4 large
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped

Steps

  1. In a medium skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet, sautéing until the onion is translucent and fragrant, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the khlii, breaking it apart with a spoon, and cook for another 5 minutes until heated through.
  4. Sprinkle in the cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper, mixing well to combine the flavors.
  5. Make four small wells in the khlii mixture and crack an egg into each well.
  6. Cover the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the eggs are cooked to your desired level of doneness.
  7. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
