Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 400 grams
  • Ras El Hanout spice blend - 2 teaspoons
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Iceberg lettuce - 4 large leaves (for wrapping)
  • Cherry tomatoes - 100 grams, halved
  • Cucumber - 100 grams, sliced
  • Greek yogurt - 100 grams
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, Ras El Hanout, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and form them into burger patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the burger patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  4. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the yogurt sauce by mixing Greek yogurt, lemon juice, and chopped cilantro in a small bowl. Set aside.
  5. Once cooked, remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes.
  6. To assemble, place each burger patty on a large lettuce leaf, top with cherry tomatoes and cucumber slices, and drizzle with the yogurt sauce.
  7. Wrap the lettuce around the filling to create a burger and serve immediately.
