Ingredients
- Ground beef - 300 grams
- Preserved lemon - 1 whole, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Lettuce leaves - 4 large (for wrapping)
- Sliced cucumber - 1/2 cucumber
- Sliced red onion - 1/2 onion
- Feta cheese - 50 grams, crumbled
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped preserved lemon, minced garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley. Mix until well combined.
- Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 2 cm thick.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the toppings by slicing the cucumber and red onion.
- Once the patties are done, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
- To assemble, place each beef patty on a large lettuce leaf, top with sliced cucumber, red onion, and crumbled feta cheese.
- Wrap the lettuce around the filling to create a burger and serve immediately.
