Ingredients

  • Ground lamb - 400 grams
  • Garlic cloves - 2, minced
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Cayenne pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Lettuce leaves (for wrapping) - 4 large leaves
  • Sliced tomatoes - 4 slices
  • Sliced red onion - 4 slices
  • Sliced avocado - 1 small

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb, minced garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley. Mix well until fully incorporated.
  2. Divide the lamb mixture into 2 equal portions and shape them into burger patties, about 2 cm thick.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side or until they are browned and cooked through to your desired doneness.
  4. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the lettuce wraps by rinsing and drying the lettuce leaves.
  5. Once the burgers are done, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing a lamb patty in the center of each lettuce leaf. Top with sliced tomatoes, red onion, and avocado.
  7. Wrap the lettuce around the fillings and serve immediately.
