Ingredients
- Ground lamb - 400 grams
- Garlic cloves - 2, minced
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Cayenne pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Lettuce leaves (for wrapping) - 4 large leaves
- Sliced tomatoes - 4 slices
- Sliced red onion - 4 slices
- Sliced avocado - 1 small
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb, minced garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley. Mix well until fully incorporated.
- Divide the lamb mixture into 2 equal portions and shape them into burger patties, about 2 cm thick.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side or until they are browned and cooked through to your desired doneness.
- While the burgers are cooking, prepare the lettuce wraps by rinsing and drying the lettuce leaves.
- Once the burgers are done, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a lamb patty in the center of each lettuce leaf. Top with sliced tomatoes, red onion, and avocado.
- Wrap the lettuce around the fillings and serve immediately.
