- Ground beef - 250 grams
- Chopped walnuts - 50 grams
- Pitted dates - 30 grams
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Lettuce leaves - 2 large
- Sliced tomato - 1 medium
- Sliced cucumber - 1 small
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, chopped walnuts, pitted dates (finely chopped), garlic powder, cumin, paprika, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley. Mix until ingredients are well incorporated.
- Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the burger patties and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the lettuce, tomato, and cucumber for serving.
- Once cooked, remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
- To assemble, place each patty on a large lettuce leaf, add sliced tomatoes and cucumbers on top, and wrap the lettuce around the filling. Serve immediately.
