Ingredients
- Firm tofu - 250 grams
- Red onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Cinnamon - 1/4 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Skewers - 4 (if using wooden skewers, soak in water for 30 minutes)
Steps
- Press the tofu to remove excess moisture, then crumble it into a large mixing bowl.
- Add the finely chopped red onion, minced garlic, parsley, cilantro, cumin, paprika, cinnamon, salt, and black pepper to the bowl with the crumbled tofu.
- Drizzle the olive oil over the mixture and combine all the ingredients until well mixed.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and mold each portion around a skewer to form long kebabs.
- Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium heat and lightly oil the grates.
- Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and slightly charred.
- Once cooked, remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
