Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 300 grams
  • Ground lamb - 100 grams
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Cilantro - 30 grams, chopped
  • Parsley - 30 grams, chopped
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Eggs - 2 large
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, ground lamb, chopped onion, minced garlic, cilantro, parsley, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until fully combined.
  2. Divide the meat mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a flat patty.
  3. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Brush with olive oil to prevent sticking.
  4. Grill the kefta patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and have nice grill marks.
  5. While the kefta is cooking, heat a small non-stick skillet over medium heat and crack the eggs into the pan. Cook to your desired doneness (sunny-side up or over-easy).
  6. Once the kefta is done, remove from the grill and place on a serving plate. Top each patty with a cooked egg.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with additional chopped herbs if desired.
