Ingredients

  • Ground beef or lamb - 300 grams
  • Red onion, finely chopped - 1 small (about 50 grams)
  • Fresh parsley, finely chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh cilantro, finely chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
  • Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Skewers - 4 (soaked in water if wooden)

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, mix the ground meat with the chopped onion, parsley, cilantro, minced garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Knead the mixture with your hands until well combined, then form into elongated shapes around the skewers.
  3. Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and brush it lightly with olive oil.
  4. Grill the kefta skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until they are browned and cooked through.
  5. Serve the skewers hot, garnished with additional chopped herbs and accompanied by a side of fresh salad or pita bread.
