- Pizza dough - 200 grams
- Ground beef or lamb - 250 grams
- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Tomato sauce - 100 grams
- Mozzarella cheese - 150 grams, grated
- Bell pepper - 1/2, diced
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
- In a bowl, combine ground beef or lamb, chopped onion, minced garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and form small meatballs or patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the kefta meatballs for about 8-10 minutes until browned and cooked through, turning occasionally. Remove from heat.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Spread tomato sauce evenly over the pizza dough.
- Sprinkle grated mozzarella cheese over the sauce, then evenly distribute the cooked kefta, diced bell pepper, and any remaining onion.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
- Once out of the oven, drizzle with lemon juice and sprinkle with chopped parsley and cilantro before slicing and serving.
