Ingredients

  • Portobello mushrooms - 200 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Pita bread - 2 pieces

Steps

  1. Clean the Portobello mushrooms and slice them into thin strips.
  2. In a bowl, mix the olive oil, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, cinnamon, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  3. Add the sliced mushrooms to the marinade and toss well to coat. Let them marinate for 15 minutes.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the marinated mushrooms. Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are tender and slightly caramelized.
  5. Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the chopped parsley and lemon juice.
  6. Serve the spiced mushrooms warm with pita bread for dipping.
