Ingredients

  • Almond flour - 150 grams
  • Powdered sugar - 50 grams
  • Semolina - 30 grams
  • Orange blossom water - 2 tablespoons
  • Coconut oil - 50 grams (melted)
  • Ground cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Pistachios (finely chopped) - 30 grams (for garnish)

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, powdered sugar, semolina, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Add the melted coconut oil and orange blossom water to the dry ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  4. Divide the dough into small balls (about the size of a walnut) and shape them into crescents or triangles.
  5. Place the shaped pastries onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until lightly golden.
  7. Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before garnishing with finely chopped pistachios.
  8. Serve warm or at room temperature, and enjoy your vegan Kaab el Ghazal.
