Ingredients
- Bulgur wheat - 100 grams
- Water - 250 milliliters
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Fresh parsley - 30 grams, chopped
- Fresh cilantro - 30 grams, chopped
- Fresh mint - 15 grams, chopped
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
Steps
- Rinse the bulgur wheat under cold water and drain.
- In a medium saucepan, bring 250 milliliters of water to a boil.
- Add the rinsed bulgur to the boiling water, cover, and reduce the heat to low. Cook for about 12 minutes or until the water is absorbed and the bulgur is tender.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and let it sit, covered, for an additional 5 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped parsley, cilantro, mint, minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper.
- Fluff the cooked bulgur with a fork and add it to the herb mixture. Stir gently to combine all the ingredients.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary before serving.
