Ingredients

  • Ground lamb - 400 grams
  • Harissa paste - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Cucumber - 1 small, diced
  • Greek yogurt - 150 grams
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Lettuce leaves - for serving

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb, harissa paste, minced garlic, cumin, coriander, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley. Mix until well combined.
  2. Divide the lamb mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, about 2 cm thick.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the lamb patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  4. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the cucumber-yogurt sauce by mixing the diced cucumber, Greek yogurt, and lemon juice in a small bowl. Season with salt to taste.
  5. Once the burgers are done, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes.
  6. To serve, place each lamb burger on a lettuce leaf and top with the cucumber-yogurt sauce.
