Ingredients
- Ground beef (80% lean) - 400 grams
- Harissa paste - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic cloves - 2, minced
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Burger buns - 2
- Lettuce leaves - 2
- Tomato - 1, sliced
- Red onion - 1/2, thinly sliced
- Feta cheese - 50 grams, crumbled
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, harissa paste, minced garlic, cumin, coriander, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well incorporated.
- Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, about 2 cm thick.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the burger buns by toasting them lightly in the oven or on a separate skillet.
- Once the patties are cooked, assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun, followed by the patty, tomato slice, red onion, and crumbled feta cheese. Top with the other half of the bun.
- Serve immediately with your choice of side.
