Ingredients

  • semolina - 200 grams
  • water - 150 milliliters
  • olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • baking powder - 1 teaspoon
  • salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
  • nutmeg - 1/4 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the semolina, baking powder, salt, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  2. Gradually add the water and olive oil to the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough gently for about 2-3 minutes until smooth.
  4. Divide the dough into two equal portions and shape each into a round disc about 1-2 cm thick.
  5. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with a little olive oil.
  6. Place the first disc in the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Repeat the process with the second disc.
  8. Serve warm, optionally with plant-based butter, honey, or jam.
