- Tahini - 100 grams
- Granulated sugar - 50 grams
- Water - 60 ml
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Ground cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
- Chopped almonds - 30 grams
- Chopped pistachios - 30 grams
Steps
- In a small saucepan, combine the water and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar has fully dissolved.
- Once the sugar has dissolved, bring the mixture to a gentle boil and let it simmer for 5 minutes without stirring.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the tahini, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
- Fold in the chopped almonds and pistachios into the tahini mixture.
- Pour the mixture into a greased small dish and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Let the halva cool at room temperature for about 15 minutes, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours until firm.
- Once set, cut into squares or triangles and serve chilled or at room temperature.
