Ingredients

  • Almond flour - 150 grams
  • Powdered sugar - 50 grams
  • Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Orange blossom water - 1 tablespoon
  • Aquafaba (chickpea brine) - 3 tablespoons
  • Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
  • Sesame seeds - 2 tablespoons

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, powdered sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the aquafaba, orange blossom water, and vanilla extract until frothy.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  5. Using your hands, form small balls of dough (about 2.5 cm in diameter) and roll them in sesame seeds to coat.
  6. Place the coated balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 5 cm apart.
  7. Gently press each ball to flatten slightly.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
