Ingredients

  • White fish fillets (e.g., cod or haddock) - 300 grams
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Fresh coriander - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Whole wheat flour - 100 grams
  • Olive oil - for frying (approximately 200 ml)
  • Lemon wedges - for serving

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the minced garlic, chopped parsley, chopped coriander, cumin powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice to create a marinade.
  2. Add the fish fillets to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. While the fish is marinating, heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  4. Once the oil is hot, take the marinated fish fillets and dredge them in whole wheat flour, shaking off any excess flour.
  5. Carefully place the coated fish fillets in the hot oil and fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove the fried fish from the pan and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil.
  7. Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.
