Ingredients
- White fish fillets (e.g., cod or haddock) - 300 grams
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Fresh coriander - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
- Whole wheat flour - 100 grams
- Olive oil - for frying (approximately 200 ml)
- Lemon wedges - for serving
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the minced garlic, chopped parsley, chopped coriander, cumin powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice to create a marinade.
- Add the fish fillets to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- While the fish is marinating, heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Once the oil is hot, take the marinated fish fillets and dredge them in whole wheat flour, shaking off any excess flour.
- Carefully place the coated fish fillets in the hot oil and fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the fried fish from the pan and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil.
- Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.
