Ingredients
- White fish fillets (such as cod or tilapia) - 300 grams
- Fresh cilantro - 30 grams
- Fresh parsley - 30 grams
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Cayenne pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
Steps
- In a food processor, combine cilantro, parsley, garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, cayenne pepper, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Blend until smooth to create the chermoula marinade.
- Place the fish fillets in a shallow dish and pour half of the chermoula over them, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
- Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, remove the fish from the marinade, letting excess marinade drip off.
- Cook the fish for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Serve the cooked fish with the remaining chermoula drizzled on top. Optionally, serve with a side of couscous or salad.
