Ingredients
- All-purpose flour - 200 grams
- Almonds - 50 grams, chopped
- Sesame seeds - 30 grams
- Sugar - 50 grams
- Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 3 tablespoons
- Plant-based milk - 100 milliliters
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, chopped almonds, sesame seeds, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the olive oil, plant-based milk, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms. It should be slightly sticky but manageable.
- Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and shape it into a log about 3 cm in diameter.
- Place the log on the baking sheet and flatten it slightly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until lightly golden.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes before slicing the log into 1 cm thick pieces.
- Arrange the slices back on the baking sheet and bake for an additional 10 minutes until crisp.
- Allow to cool completely before serving.
