Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour - 200 grams
  • Almonds - 50 grams, chopped
  • Sesame seeds - 30 grams
  • Sugar - 50 grams
  • Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 3 tablespoons
  • Plant-based milk - 100 milliliters
  • Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, chopped almonds, sesame seeds, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the olive oil, plant-based milk, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms. It should be slightly sticky but manageable.
  5. Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and shape it into a log about 3 cm in diameter.
  6. Place the log on the baking sheet and flatten it slightly.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until lightly golden.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes before slicing the log into 1 cm thick pieces.
  9. Arrange the slices back on the baking sheet and bake for an additional 10 minutes until crisp.
  10. Allow to cool completely before serving.
