Ingredients

  • Fava beans - 200 grams (fresh or frozen)

  • Sea salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. If using fresh fava beans, remove them from their pods. If using frozen, thaw them and set aside.
  2. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fava beans and cook for about 5-7 minutes until tender.
  3. Drain the fava beans and rinse them under cold water to stop the cooking process.
  4. In a bowl, combine the chopped mint leaves, minced garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, sea salt, and black pepper.
  5. Add the cooked fava beans to the bowl and gently toss to coat them in the mint dressing.
  6. Let the dish sit for about 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld before serving.
