Ingredients

  • Ground beef (80% lean) - 400 grams
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley, chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon (for cooking)
  • Avocado - 1 medium (for topping)
  • Tomato, sliced - 1 medium
  • Red onion, sliced - 1/4 medium
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large (for wrapping)

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, cumin powder, coriander powder, paprika, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley. Mix until well combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, about 2 cm thick.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  4. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the toppings by slicing the avocado, tomato, and red onion.
  5. Once cooked, remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
  6. To serve, place each burger patty on a large lettuce leaf, top with slices of avocado, tomato, and red onion, and wrap the lettuce around the filling.
