Ingredients

  • Couscous - 100 grams
  • Milk - 400 milliliters
  • Honey - 2 tablespoons
  • Cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
  • Almonds - 30 grams, chopped
  • Raisins - 30 grams
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Butter - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a saucepan, bring 200 milliliters of milk to a gentle boil, then remove from heat.
  2. Add couscous and a pinch of salt to the boiling milk, stir well, cover, and let it sit for about 5 minutes to allow the couscous to absorb the milk.
  3. In a separate small saucepan, heat the remaining 200 milliliters of milk with honey and cinnamon over low heat until warmed through, stirring occasionally.
  4. After the couscous has absorbed the milk, fluff it with a fork and stir in the butter until melted.
  5. Divide the couscous into two bowls, pour the warm milk mixture over each serving, and top with chopped almonds and raisins.
  6. Serve warm, optionally garnished with an extra sprinkle of cinnamon.
