- Ground beef - 300 grams (80% lean)
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Fresh cilantro - 30 grams, chopped
- Fresh parsley - 30 grams, chopped
- Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Red chili flakes - 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Burger buns - 2 units
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Lettuce - 2 leaves
- Chermoula sauce - 4 tablespoons (store-bought or homemade)
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, minced garlic, chopped cilantro, chopped parsley, ground cumin, paprika, ground coriander, salt, black pepper, and red chili flakes if using. Mix until just combined.
- Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, slightly larger than the burger buns.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
- While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the burger buns in a separate skillet or toaster until golden brown.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on the bottom half of each bun, adding slices of tomato and lettuce, and drizzling with chermoula sauce. Top with the other half of the bun.
