Ingredients

  • Lean beef (sirloin or tenderloin) - 300 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Bell pepper - 1 medium, cut into chunks
  • Red onion - 1 medium, cut into chunks
  • Skewers - 4 (if wooden, soaked in water for 30 minutes)

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, ground cumin, ground coriander, paprika, salt, black pepper, chopped parsley, and lemon juice to create a marinade.
  2. Cut the lean beef into 2.5 cm cubes and add them to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to overnight for better flavor.
  3. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated beef, bell pepper chunks, and red onion chunks alternately onto the skewers.
  5. Grill the skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the beef is cooked to your desired doneness.
  6. Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
