Ingredients
- Almond flour - 100 grams
- Psyllium husk - 10 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- Butter - 30 grams, melted
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- Mixed nuts (almonds, walnuts, pistachios) - 80 grams, chopped
- Cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - for frying
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, psyllium husk, salt, and melted butter. Mix well until you achieve a dough-like consistency.
- Add the egg to the mixture and knead until smooth. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more almond flour.
- In another bowl, combine the chopped mixed nuts, cinnamon, and cumin. Mix until well combined.
- Divide the dough into small balls (about the size of a golf ball). Roll each ball into a thin circle on a parchment-lined surface.
- Place a tablespoon of the nut mixture in the center of each circle and fold the dough over to create a triangle, sealing the edges well.
- Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the briouates in batches until golden brown on each side, approximately 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels. Serve warm.
