Ingredients

  • Almond flour - 100 grams
  • Psyllium husk - 10 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Butter - 30 grams, melted
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Mixed nuts (almonds, walnuts, pistachios) - 80 grams, chopped
  • Cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - for frying

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, psyllium husk, salt, and melted butter. Mix well until you achieve a dough-like consistency.
  2. Add the egg to the mixture and knead until smooth. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more almond flour.
  3. In another bowl, combine the chopped mixed nuts, cinnamon, and cumin. Mix until well combined.
  4. Divide the dough into small balls (about the size of a golf ball). Roll each ball into a thin circle on a parchment-lined surface.
  5. Place a tablespoon of the nut mixture in the center of each circle and fold the dough over to create a triangle, sealing the edges well.
  6. Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the briouates in batches until golden brown on each side, approximately 3-4 minutes per side.
  7. Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels. Serve warm.
