Ingredients

  • Phyllo dough - 6 sheets
  • Shrimp, peeled and deveined - 100 grams
  • Scallops, cleaned - 100 grams
  • Crab meat, cooked - 50 grams
  • Garlic, minced - 1 clove
  • Fresh parsley, chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - for brushing
  • Egg - 1, beaten (for sealing)

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the shrimp, scallops, crab meat, garlic, parsley, cilantro, lemon juice, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Lay one sheet of phyllo dough on a clean surface and brush lightly with olive oil. Place another sheet on top and repeat the process.
  4. Cut the stacked phyllo sheets into rectangles (about 10x15 cm).
  5. Place a spoonful of the seafood mixture on one end of each rectangle, fold the sides over, and roll tightly to form a cigar shape. Seal the edges with beaten egg.
  6. Repeat the process with the remaining phyllo sheets and seafood mixture.
  7. Place the briouates on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush the tops with olive oil.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
